In the early 1980s, Jackson became a dominant figure in popular music. Music videos for his songs, including "Beat It" Jean "Billie" and "Thriller", was credited with transforming the medium into an art form and a promotional tool, and the popularity of these videos helped relatively new MTV television celebrity. Videos such as "Black or White" and "Scream" made him a staple on MTV in the 1990s. Through shows and music videos, Jackson popularized a number of dance techniques such as robot and the moonwalk, which he named. His unique sound of music and vocal style influenced numerous hip hop, pop, R & B and modern rock artists.
Jackson's 1982 album Thriller is the best-selling album ever. His other issues, such as Off the Wall (1979), Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991) and History (1995), also among the best sellers in the world. Jackson is one of the few artists to have been recorded in Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice. He also served in Dance Hall of Fame as the first (and currently only) dances in the world of pop and rock 'n' roll. Some of his other achievements include multiple Guinness World Records, 13 Grammy Awards (including the Grammy Legend Award and Grammy Achievement Award), 26 American Music Awards (more than any other artist, including "Artist of the Century"), Number 13 - singles in the United States during his solo career (more than any other male artist in the Hot 100 ERA) and the estimated sales of more than 750 million records worldwide. Jackson has won hundreds of prizes , making him the most awarded artist in recording history of music.
Jackson was a great humanist and philanthropist, giving and collecting hundreds of millions of dollars to charitable causes and support over 39 charities. According to David Winters, Jackson has also donated tens of millions of dollars to charities for many children anonymously, and spent much of his time to visit seriously ill children restlessly from one hospital to comply with these the children only to illuminate their lives. When Jackson finished the visit he would ask the nursing staff of hospitals and doctors that the hospital was needed in terms of facilities for children and then make anonymous donations to a hospital to purchase expensive equipment or anything that needed.
