After entering the league as the fifth choice in 2003 Entry Draft to the NBA, Wade was named to the All-Rookie team and All-Star team for seven seasons. In his third season, Wade helped the Miami Heat to their first NBA championship in its history. He was named NBA Finals MVP in 2006 while helping lead the Heat to win the series 4-2 over the Dallas Mavericks. During the 2008 Olympics, Wade led the basketball team of men from the United States, commonly known as the "Redeem Team" in the score, winning the honors of the gold medal in Beijing, China. In the 2008-09 season, Wade led the league in scoring and won his first NBA scoring title.
