Mariah Carey (March 27, 1970) is an American R & B / pop singer-songwriter, record producer and actress. She made her first recording in 1990 under the auspices of Tommy Mottola of Columbia Records executive, and became the first artist to have her first five singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. After her marriage to Mottola in 1993, Carey had a series of successful albums certified Diamond Music Box album (1993), Daydream (1995).
