Wilhelm DiCaprio (born November 11, 1974) is an American actor, producer and film. He has received numerous awards including a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for his performance in The Aviator (2004). In addition, he won the Silver Bear, a Prize and a Chlotrudis satellite, among others, and was nominated for the Academy Awards, Screen Actors Guild and British Academy of Film and Television Arts.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, DiCaprio started his career appearing in television commercials before landing recurring roles on television series such as soap opera Santa Barbara and the sitcom Growing Pains in early 1990. He made a debut with the horror comedy science fiction film Critters 3 (1991) and was the first major critical praise for his performance in the life of this boy (1993). DiCaprio has received recognition for his next job in supporting roles in What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993) and Marvin's Room (1996), and senior Basketball Diaries (1995) and Romeo + Juliet (1996), before reaching fame International, and James Cameron's Titanic (1997).

Since 2000, DiCaprio was nominated for awards for his work in films like Catch Me If You Can (2002), Gangs of New York (2002), The Aviator (2004), Blood Diamond (2006), The Departed (2006), and Revolutionary Road (2008). His latest film, Shutter Island (2010) and creation (2010) are among the most commercially successful of their career.DiCaprio owns a production company Appian Way Productions appointed, whose productions include films Gardener of Eden (2007) and Orphans (2009).

A committed environmentalist, DiCaprio has received praise from environmental groups for his activism.
