Salman Khan (Hindi: सलमान ख़ान, pronounced [səlma XA ː ː n], born Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan, December 27, 1965) is an Indian. He starred in over eighty films in Hindi.

Khan, who made his acting debut with a supporting role in the drama of Biwi Ho to Aisi (1988), had his first commercial success with blockbuster Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), for which she won a Filmfare Award for Best First Man. He went to play some of the most successful films in Hindi cinema of the time, such as Saajan (1991), Hum Aapke Hain Kaun (1994), Karan Arjun (1995), Judwaa (1997), Kiya Darna Kya pyar to ( 1998), Biwi No. 1 (1999), which appeared in the biggest winner of films separated seven years during his career.

In 1999, Khan won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for Kuch Kuch extended to his appearance Hota Hai (1998), and has since appeared in several critical and commercial successes, including Hum Dil De Chuka Sanam (1999 ), Tere Naam (2003), Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), there is no entry fee (2005), Partners (2007), Wanted (2009) and Dabangg (2010), which has become the second highest-grossing films Bollywood of all times, and Ready (2011). Khan was then placed in one of the leading and most successful actors of Hindi cinema.
