Xavier Hernández Creus I (born January 25, 1980 in Terrassa, Barcelona), more commonly known as Xavi (Catalan pronunciation: [ʃaβi]) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a central midfielder for La Liga club FC Barcelona where he spent his entire career of 13 years.

Has been capped 101 times with the Spanish team, which won the UEFA Euro 2008 and World Cup 2010. He was named player of the tournament by UEFA for the UEFA EURO 2008.

Xavi is considered one of the best midfielders in the world.
