Alexander Rupert Grint (born August 24, 1988) is an English actress who became famous playing Ron Weasley, one of the three main characters in the series of Harry Potter films. Rupert Grint was cast as Ron, 11, who have only acted in school plays and local theater. From 2001 to 2011, he played in eight Harry Potter films alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson.

Beginning in 2002, began working outside Grint Harry Potter franchise, taking a role as co-leader in Thunderpants. He has had leading roles in driving lessons, a drama released in 2006, and Cherry Bomb, a low-budget drama released in 2010. Grint co-starred with Bill Nighy and Emily Blunt in Wild Target, a comedy. His first project after the completion of the Harry Potter series will mate, a 2012 anti-war version, which he stars as the title role.
