Sania Mirza (Urdu: ثانیہ مرزا, Telugu: సానియా మీర్జా, Hindi: सानिया मिर्जा) (born November 15, 1986 in Mumbai) is an Indian professional tennis player. She began her tennis career in 2003 and is known for his powerful ground strokes forehand. She is the first Indian to break into the WTA top 30. Mirza has beaten many top players, including Martina Hingis and Svetlana Kuznetsova.

In 2004 he was awarded the Arjuna by the government of India. In 2006, Mirza has received a Padma Shri, the fourth of India honored for his achievements as a tennis player. [1] In March 2010, the Economic Times Mirza named in the list of "33 women who have made India proud."

In 2009, Sania Mirza became engaged to his childhood friend Sohrab Mirza. But the engagement was canceled shortly after. Mirza married Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, April 12, 2010. The marriage took place in Hyderabad, India. The attention of the online wedding was Mirza's most wanted woman tennis player in 2010 according to Google Trends.The few expected to go to Dubai.
