Abdul Qadeer Khan (Urdu: ڈاکٹر عبد القدیر خان, born: April 1, 1936), D. Eng, Sc.D, HI, NI (twice), DAP, better known as Dr. AQ Khan is a Pakistani nuclear scientist and metallurgical engineer who served as head of the Kahuta Research Laboratories (KRL) in 1976 2001 .
