Israr Ahmed (Urdu: اسرار احمد, April 26, 1932 - April 14, 2010) was a Pakistani Islamic theologian followed especially in South Asia and also among the South Asian diaspora in the Middle East, Western Europe and North America . Born in Hissar (Haryana today), India, the second son of a government official, he is the founder of Tanzeem-e-Islami, an offshoot of the Jamaat-e-Islami. He hosts a daily show on television of Peace, a program of 24 hours the International Islamic channel, and until recently Ary QTV.
His supporters have described, he had spent "the last 40 years," actively "for reviving the Qur'an-centered Islamic perennial philosophy and world view" with "the ultimate goal is to create a true Islamic state, or the system of Khilafah ". Ahmed was skeptical about the effectiveness of the "parliamentary politics, exchange of ideas" to create "Islamic political and socio-economic system" due to the introduction of the system is a "revolutionary process".
