A native of Illinois, Hillary Rodham first attracted national attention in 1969 for his intervention as the first speaker begins a student at Wellesley College. First Lady of Arkansas 1979-1981 and 1983-1992 with her husband Bill as governor, he successfully led the working group to reform the educational system, Arkansas. He sat on the board of Wal-Mart and several other companies.
In 1994, the first lady of the United States, with a major initiative, Clinton health care plan, failed to obtain approval from the U.S. Congress. However, between 1997 and 1999, Clinton played a role in favor of the creation of the Program of State Children's Health Insurance, Adoption and Safe Families Act and foster care in the Independence Act.
